基本上不会有损失，家庭环境光照较差，所以很多会徒长，新株要长到很高才穿破老皮，所以新株也会很高，切掉老株的顶部让新株可以很快露头，再加强光照，可以回复到比较完美的体态。

我觉得不完全是这样的，生石花徒长是因为较长时间的光照不足所造成，而脱皮期间也就2-3月最多，仅仅增加些时间的光照，我认为是完全不够的！！！而且，出现伤口后，细菌等容易侵入株体，我还是认为不值得提倡！！！
如果对已经徒长的株体，实施的话，我觉得还是从叶片的闭和部下刀更为稳妥，一来有同样的效果，二来创口面积要小N多！！！我的一株石头，就因为先期有徒长（梅雨惹的祸），新株分化后卡在半截，不得已而为之！！！由于梅雨后包括夏季我都狠心的给予较好的日照，所以脱皮后矮了有快2/5的高度，基本看不出有徒长！！！
不过这个问题还是需要大家多多实践！！！多多讨论！！！
