0cm 10.5pt? mso-char-indent-size: 2.0; mso-char-indent-count: 21pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0pt;>别名红花紫荆、洋紫荆。为豆科落叶乔木。树高5～8米，幅约6米，树皮灰褐色，有浅裂及显著皮孔。枝条开展，下垂；小枝圆形，幼枝有绒毛，长大渐光滑。叶互生，革质，圆形或阔卵形，长、宽8～15厘米，顶端2裂，状如羊蹄，有深凹，深可达叶全长的1/3；表面暗绿色而平滑，背面淡灰绿色，微有毛，掌状脉清晰。顶生总状花序，排开成少花的短总状花序。花朵形大，10～12厘米，花瓣倒卵状矩形，玫瑰红或玫瑰紫色，有芳香，花期3～5月；；花5瓣，其中4瓣分列两侧，两两相对，而另一瓣则翘首于上方，形如兰花状，又有近似兰花的清香气味，故亦有“兰花树”的别称。荚果条形，扁平。喜温暖、湿润、阳光充足的环境。要求肥沃而排水良好的沙质壤土。自然更新力强，能自播繁殖。 　羊蹄甲树冠秀丽，枝枒低垂，1年有3季开花，花色艳如彩霞。宜植于道路两旁和庭院中。花可入药。
