理想君子兰的标准是。花谚告诉我们“圆、短、宽、厚、硬，花、亮、蹦、腻、挺”。
“圆”指叶的头型要圆。即为卵型，不带任何急尖。整个株型要圆，达到正视如扇面，叶片无七长八短的现象。
“短”指叶片的长度，要在200毫米左右。叶片的脖短而且收得急。一片叶单看似乒乓球拍形。
“宽”指叶片本身的宽度要在100毫米以上。两条纵脉的脉档要宽，约在5毫米以上。
“厚”指叶片的厚度，要在2毫米以上。
“硬”指硬度和弹性，手感坚硬不糠。
“花”指叶片与叶脉在色泽上的反差。
“亮”指叶面有光泽。
“蹦”指叶脉的隆起程度。要求纵横脉明显凸起粗壮，纵横脉相交成直角，形成规则的凹凸状。
“腻”指叶片结构细腻，手感滑润。
“挺”指叶片挺拔向上，底片平展不下垂，其余叶片相应地抱头等距生长，达到“侧观一条线，正视如扇面”的完美株形。
